Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a pharmacist leader to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services and to collaborate with an inter-disciplinary care team at the Medical Center. You will educate patients and providers and contribute to the development of best-practice guidelines.

Required: Doctor of Pharmacy, NY licensure upon hire, and board certification within 2 years; specialty residency preferred. Regular 40-hour week at 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required.
• Specialty residency training preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• New resident graduates or clinical specialists in their first 3–5 years of practice are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services within a specialty area.
• Participate on an interdisciplinary patient care team and educate patients and providers.
• Lead department initiatives and mentor pharmacists, providers, and trainees.
• Contribute to departmental quality assurance, policy development, and cost-effective care.
