Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to become a central member of the patient care team. You will deliver compassionate care, conduct screenings, risk assessments, preventive health education, and coordinate care for diverse populations with adept use of technology.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire.
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers professional nursing care to clinic patients; performs diagnostic testing and related procedures; triages nursing situations according to protocols.
• Performs patient assessment/care tests (EKG, Spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, etc.).
• Performs wound care and dressing changes, including wound vac; removes sutures or staples after assessment by a Provider.
• Inserts/removes tubes, drains, urinary catheters, including PICC; applies splints/braces.
• Instructs patients in sample collection and follow-up/referral information.
• Informs patients of lab results, calls prescriptions to pharmacies and returns practitioners’ messages.
