University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics seeks a Pharmacy Manager for Ambulatory Care Operations to oversee outpatient pharmacy services across General Hospital Pharmacy, Discharge Pharmacy, and Stead Family Children’s Level 2 Pharmacy. Lead clinical pharmacists, technicians, and support staff while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will guide ambulatory care clinical services, participate in hospital committees, and develop staff competencies through education and precepting activities,

Qualifications

Requires Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and active pharmacist license.
Prefers completion of a PGY1/PGY2 residency or 5+ years in a complex clinical pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day ambulatory pharmacy operations across multiple sites.
Coordinate ambulatory care clinical pharmacy services with physicians, nursing, and lab staff.
Develop staff competencies and credentialing; provide precepting for students and residents.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
Lead quality improvement and program development in ambulatory care.
