Qualifications

• Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York.
• If hired after 9/1/25: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Associate Degree in Nursing may be approved contingent upon Nursing Leadership approval, with a minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area and enrollment in a BSN program to be completed within 2 years of hire.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Collects patient health history.
• Records information in electronic health record.
• Provides information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans as directed.
• Administers medications (including vaccination, IV therapy, oxygen administration), provides comprehensive wound care, and performs triage for clinical concerns.
• Assesses and monitors patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia.
• Consults with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients.
• Directs, supervises, and delegates to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants and technicians as needed to support patient flow and efficiency.
• Performs other duties as needed.
• Implementation / Provision of Care: Executes medical regimens as prescribed by licensed providers.
• Communication and Message Management: Manages clinical in-baskets, relays results and provides triage.
• Health Promotion & Education: Collects data, analyzes health status, educates patients and families.
