Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Huntington, NY is seeking an Ambulatory Care Nurse - Multispecialty to coordinate, implement and evaluate nursing practice with licensed providers for patient-centered care.

The role includes performing examinations, collecting health histories, counseling patients, and managing medications and wound care. Strong nursing licensure in NY and ER/ICU experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in New York required.
• Baccalaureate or diploma/associate degree in Nursing with 1 year experience.
• Emergency room or critical care nursing experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Record information in electronic health records.
• Counsel patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans.
• Administer medications and provide wound care.
• Triage patients by phone and in person.
• Supervise and delegate to LPNs, MAs, and technicians.
• Support nursing practice evaluation and evidence-based practice.
