Job summary

Atrium Health Greater Charlotte is seeking an Ambulatory Nursing RN for our breast clinic. The position supports nursing leadership, provides direct patient care, and coordinates care in a busy outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has a BSN and an active RN license, with at least two years of clinical nursing experience. BLS is required, and management experience is preferred. Hours are 40 per week, with a 7:30 AM–4:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical nursing.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BSN required; RN candidates without BSN must enroll in BSN within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and complete within 3 years; BLS per policy guidelines; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility; additional education may be required within the department.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and departmental operations.
• Provides direct patient care while assisting the nurse manager with daily operations, patient care coordination, resource allocation, and staff development.
• Collaborates with clinical team members to support psychosocial needs of patients and families.
