Job summary

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Ambulatory/Outpatient Antimicrobial Stewardship leads antimicrobial programs across the MUSC Health ambulatory network, focusing on safe, effective, evidence-based and cost-conscious prescribing.

This role collaborates with physicians, nursing, quality, infection prevention, microbiology, and leadership to support surveillance, guidelines, education, and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in South Carolina.
• PharmD degree and active licensure.
• Experience in antimicrobial stewardship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide antimicrobial stewardship leadership for ambulatory care.
• Develop and monitor guidelines, education, and EHR interventions.
• Perform pharmacokinetic reviews and optimize therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and care teams.
• Participate in monitoring programs and disease state projects.
• Contribute to transitions of care and communication with teams.
