Minimum qualifications include a state Paramedic License, State Driver’s License, BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic, plus a high school diploma or GED. The role emphasizes teamwork with public safety personnel and community outreach.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Assess call situations and determine best action with paramedic protocols.
• Use medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the paramedic team and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
