Job summary

Priority Patient Transport is seeking an Ambulance and NEMT Billing Coding Specialist to support the revenue cycle for emergency and nonemergency medical transportation services. This role reviews transport documentation, confirms patient and payer information, resolves documentation gaps, and prepares accurate claims from intake to submission.

Qualifications

• Review and process ambulance/NEMT records for billing readiness.
• Experience with EMS, ambulance, or NEMT billing preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review transport records for completeness and medical-necessity support.
• Verify demographics, insurance eligibility and payer information.
• Code claims per payer requirements and submit timely.
• Attach required documents and resolve gaps.
• Track and correct rejected or denied claims.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient data.
