Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking an experienced Mechanic to service ambulances and field vehicles. You will assist with repairs, perform routine maintenance, and keep the fleet organized for optimal readiness. A clean driving record and basic tech skills are required to support crews and patients efficiently.

The role offers a starting compensation range with geo-modifiers, a sign-on bonus with commitment, and housing options for non-local candidates as part of total annualized compensation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience in the industry preferred.
  • Some mechanical experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanics as needed.
  • Perform small repairs and installs with AMR tools.
  • Bring vehicles in for maintenance and repair.
  • Clean ambulances and other field vehicles inside and outside.
  • Maintain fleet shop cleanliness and organization.
  • Check and top off vehicle fluids prior to rig swaps.
  • Document ambulance condition and schedule prep for shifts.
  • Update crew in service status for equipment tracking.
  • Respond to daily inquiries to coordinate between departments.
  • Adhere to company standards of conduct and dress code.
  • Complete required trainings and security policy compliance.
