Job summary

Westmed Ambulance Service in San Leandro, CA seeks a Vehicle Services Technician to keep ambulances ready for field crews by maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and ensuring equipment readiness.

You will coordinate with fleet maintenance, monitor batteries, fluids, and licensing, log vehicle conditions, and respond to crew requests. The role requires detail orientation, good communication, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs; prior industry experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good customer service and ability to work under time constraints.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle inventory check and control of supplies and equipment.
• Clean ambulances and other field vehicles inside and outside as needed.
• Restock ambulance supplies daily.
• Ensure deep cycling of monitor batteries as required.
• Check and top off oil and window washer fluid daily.
• Requisition supplies for replacement.
• Work with Fleet mechanic to support vehicle maintenance including parts pickup.
• Inform Supervisor and Fleet Maintenance of breakdowns and equipment failure and log accordingly.
• Document condition of ambulances at End of shifts and schedule preparedness for shift personnel.
• Respond to daily phone and email inquiries from crews to address supply and fleet requests.
