Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque seeks licensed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-Basic & EMT-Intermediate / AEMT) to join our ambulance team. You will transport, assess, and treat patients across emergencies and non-emergencies with opportunities for growth within our EMS system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• NREMT-Basic or NREMT-Intermediate.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Driver’s License: Valid State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (EVOC or CEVO training preferred).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry patients and heavy medical equipment in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain emergency medical vehicles during transports in compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Inspect, restock, and sanitize ambulance inventory and supplies before and after shifts.
• Perform patient assessments and deliver appropriate pre-hospital care per licensure scope.
• Initiate IV therapy, administer medications for EMT-I/AEMT as allowed, and assist with advanced life support as needed.
