Job summary

Onterris is seeking an Ambient Senior Field Technician to collect data outdoors with most time spent in the field wearing a hard hat. Compensation ranges from $24 to $28 per hour, depending on experience and location.

The role requires travel 20-50%, some weekends, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in industrial outdoor environments. Strong MS Office skills and attention to safety are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, deployment, testing/sampling of ambient air monitoring activities.
• Independently assemble, operate, and troubleshoot ambient air testing equipment.
• Ensure project prep is complete before fieldwork, including prep, cleaning, repair, and calibration.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards to supervisor.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Assist with lab, shop, and equipment maintenance.

A Day in the Life

As an Ambient Senior Field Technician, you’ll get hands-on experience collecting data while spending most of their time outdoors in a hardhat rather than in a cubicle

The compensation range for this role is $24 to $28/hr., commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation, deployment, testing/sampling of air monitoring activities
• Independently and effectively assemble, operate, and troubleshoot ambient air testing equipment
• Ensure project preparation is complete before going into the field; this includes preparation, cleaning procedures, repair, and calibration
• Practice safety methods and procedures, and report all potential dangers, hazards, or unsafe work practices to the supervisor
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients
• Assist with laboratory, shop, and equipment maintenance

• Working knowledge of computer software, such as MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Provide technical support to remotely-based field technicians to troubleshoot and resolve problems and equipment fault conditions
• Document all activities (e.g., repairs, maintenance, non-conformance events, QA audits, etc.
