This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Also involves some risk of back injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; and exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, burns, and combative/violent people.
This is a 40 hour/week position. Must be available during all operating hours. Current operating hours of the location are Monday thru Friday 7am-9pm, and Saturday/Sunday 730am-6pm. Targeted shift to be a rotating shift which will include some mid and later evening shift rotations which will be discussed during interview. Will participate in some weekend rotations and an occasional holiday. Hours of operation and location of shift are subject to change based on needs of the department.
Provide patient care in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving written orders from physicians. Reviews and interprets prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed and ensure that drug interactions are reviewed.
This position requires attention to detail; the ability to provide excellent customer service; reliability; punctuality; teamwork; and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
