Chicagoland Management is seeking a dependable AM Security Officer to join our team at an office building in Chicago’s Loop. This part-time role focuses on maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for tenants, guests, and vendors during evening hours.

You will monitor access, greet visitors, conduct patrols, respond to alarms, and document incidents with professionalism. The ideal candidate has a PERC Card, is 18+, and demonstrates strong English communication and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

  • Active PERC Card (required)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Security Guard
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset
  • Ability to remain calm and attentive during emergencies
  • Capable of patrolling interior and exterior areas
  • Lifts up to 25–50 lbs and can climb stairs as needed

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the flow of tenants, guests, and vendors entering or exiting the building
  • Greet and assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy
  • Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas for safety and security
  • Enforce building access control and visitor management policies
  • Observe and report activities or incidents to appropriate personnel
  • Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and maintain security logs
  • Assist in maintaining lobby and common area cleanliness and order
  • Support management and building staff during after-hours operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the management team

Position Summary

Chicagoland Management is seeking a dependable and professional AM Security Officer to join our team at an office building in Chicago’s Loop. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for tenants, guests, and vendors during evening hours. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and strong customer service skills while ensuring the property remains secure after regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage the flow of tenants, guests, and vendors entering or exiting the building
  • Greet and assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy
  • Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to ensure the safety and security of the property
  • Enforce building access control and visitor management policies
  • Observe and report activities or incidents to appropriate personnel
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or unusual situations
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and maintain accurate security logs
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of lobby and common areas
  • Support management and building staff as needed during after-hours operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the management team
Schedule
  • Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Rotating Saturdays: 2 Saturdays per month (hours may vary)
Qualifications
  • Active PERC Card (required)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Security Guard (required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset
  • Ability to remain calm, alert, and responsive during emergencies
  • Comfortable enforcing rules and maintaining a secure environment
  • Ability to patrol multiple areas, including stairwells and outdoor spaces
  • Capable of lifting or carrying up to 25–50 lbs and performing physical tasks such as bending, stooping, or climbing stairs
