Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County seeks a Preschool Teacher to supervise children aged 3–5, plan and implement engaging activities, and help maintain a supportive learning environment. The role supports safety protocols and developmentally appropriate practice.

Requirements include 12 CORE ECE units, 6 months preschool experience, fingerprint clearance, and CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire. Part-time morning schedule, 8am–12:30pm, is available.

Qualifications

• 12 CORE units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) are required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a preschool setting.
• Criminal record clearance by fingerprinting prior to reporting to work.
• CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children ages 3–5 and maintain safety.
• Plan and implement activities aligned with developmental needs.
• Record and monitor daily activities.
• Coordinate learning centers and prepare materials.
• Communicate effectively with parents and build positive relationships.
