Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Palm Springs, CA, is seeking a part-time Banquet Setup Attendant to join our team. You will read diagrams for meeting spaces, set up tables, A/V, and buffet stations for events.

You will work closely with servers to move items, ensure spaces are clean, and provide a smooth guest experience. A high school diploma and hospitality serving experience are preferred, along with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in hotel/restaurant serving role.
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Read and execute meeting/dining room diagrams for spaces, indoors and outdoors.
• Set up and arrange tables, A/V and equipment per diagrams.
• Assist with setting and breaking buffet tables and bar during events.
• Prepare room with F&B equipment as required.
• Arrange buffets, stages, and podiums.
• Support servers by arranging plates and running items to bars.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas and assist bussing tables.
• Show teamwork and leadership to ensure efficient setup.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to read and execute meeting/dining room diagrams for spaces, indoors and outdoors.

Complete the physical set up and arrangement of tables, A/V & equipment according to the diagram.

Assist in setting and breaking buffet tables and bar during and after an event is completed.

Assist in setting a room with F&B equipment.

Arrange buffets, stages, and podiums.

Help servers complete their tasks, which include: arranging plates, running items to the bars, and setting up beverage stations.

Maintain cleanliness of all public areas including lobbies, parking lots, smoking areas, and public restrooms, and assist servers with bussing tables.

Exhibit teamwork and leadership to ensure that the event is setup in an efficient manner.

Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of High School education

Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to communicate effectively verbally

Team player

Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members

Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
