Cornerstone Caregiving is seeking an Alzheimer's and Dementia Caregiver to support clients in the Southwest Atlanta area with dementia-informed, personalized in-home care. Responsibilities include medication reminders, mobility assistance, daily living support, and staff coordination with RN care plans.
Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of caregiving experience focused on Alzheimer's/dementia, strong communication, patience, and a willingness to travel between client homes.
As an Alzheimer's and Dementia Caregiver at Cornerstone Caregiving, you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals living with Alzheimer's and dementia-related diseases. Our caregivers are dedicated to providing exceptional, dementia-informed care and support, with a focus on personalized care plans, patience, and consistency. This is a specialized role — we are looking for caregivers who understand the unique challenges of dementia care, not general caregiving alone.

Personal care and hygiene support
Preparing meals in line with dietary needs
Light housekeeping
Companionship and meaningful engagement
Using redirection and calm de-escalation techniques for confusion, agitation, or sundowning
Supporting client safety, including wandering prevention and supervision
Following individualized behavioral care plans as directed by the office and RN
Observing and reporting changes in cognition, mood, or behavior to the office/family
Other duties as assigned within the scope of non-medical home care
Minimum 1-2 years of caregiving experience, with direct, hands-on experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer's and/or dementia (required)
Working knowledge of common dementia behaviors (sundowning, wandering, repetition, agitation) and appropriate response techniques
A genuine passion for helping others
Superior interpersonal and communication skills
Unwavering patience and emotional steadiness
Willingness to travel between client homes
Ability to pass a background check
Completion of dementia-specific training modules within the first 30 days of hire (provided via Care Academy)
