This Prospect Heights family is looking for a calm, responsible, and proactive sitter to primarily care for their younger son after school while also lending a hand with household tasks. There are two boys in the home, and while regular childcare will focus on the younger child, the sitter will help with meals and laundry for both children. They're looking for someone who can balance engaged childcare with keeping things running smoothly at home.

This is an Always On recurring booking with an ongoing month-to-month commitment. You'll coordinate your schedule directly with the family each month, making it a great opportunity for someone looking for recurring bookings with flexibility. You are calm, responsible, and proactive, with a genuine interest in getting to know the children and their individual personalities. You understand when an older child needs some independence and can connect with the younger child through his interests. You're also happy to pitch in around the home and can spot what needs to be done without needing lots of direction. Driving is a big plus, but not required.

• While this role does not include formal benefits, sick time is accrued at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked.
