Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a motivated team member to support our Alvey production operations. You will stage raw materials, maintain inventory and equipment, and ensure documentation and quality standards are met on a fast-paced food manufacturing line.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adaptability. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic math/reading skills, and the ability to work different shifts in a collaborative plant environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills – PC platform preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees.

Responsibilities

  • Stage raw materials for use during production runs as scheduled.
  • Maintain equipment stocked with raw materials for continuous operation.
  • Maintain documentation associated with operations.
  • Assist Line Technician as necessary.
  • Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated area.
  • Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Set up oncoming shift for successful run.
  • Perform duties necessary to support the team.
  • Adhere to all policy and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Show honesty and respect toward others.
  • Support food safety and quality of company products.

Essential Functions
  • Stage raw materials for use during Alvey production runs as scheduled.
  • Maintain equipment stocked with raw materials for continuous operation.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation associated with operations.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Good basic math and reading skills.
  • Good oral communication and human relations skills.
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Strong computer skills required – prefer PC platform
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to perform multi able tasks

Physical Requirements
  • Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 6 hours)
  • Sitting: Occasionally for short periods

  • Lifting: Light (less than 30 lbs) infrequently
  • Carrying: Light (30-50 lbs) infrequently distance – 100 ft
  • Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance infrequently
Performance Standards:
  • Comply with performance criteria, standards of conduct, employment procedures and responsibilities as described in the HP Hood Guidebook and applicable site supplement.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental protocols, procedures and training. Maintain a safe work environment at all times and immediately report and take appropriate action to correct safety concerns.
  • Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices, including GMP dress code standards.
  • Responsible for reporting to work in a condition to work at scheduled times and communicating tardiness and absences according to the Call-Off Procedure and Attendance Policy
SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all food safety and food quality requirements as well as the regulatory authorities with jurisdiction over our products and processes.
  • Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Environmental Concerns:
  • May be subject to exposure to ingredients used in the manufacture of food products including allergens.
  • May be subject to exposure to chemicals involved in the manufacture and sanitation of a food processing facility

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

The pay range for this position is

$27.92 — $30.37 USD
