Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Set up and operate welding machines; adjust amperage, voltage, etc.
• Inspect welding equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Determine welding technique, position and jig based on weld specs.
• Adheres to safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Demonstrates reliable attendance and high-quality workmanship.
• Detail-oriented with precise work instructions.
• Collaborates with team to solve welding issues.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise welds.
• Capable of frequent physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to identify welding requirements.
• Set up and operate welding machines and adjust settings per job specifications.
• Inspect welding equipment and cables for proper function and safety.
• Determine welding technique, position and jig based on weld specs.
• Guide electrode along weld line with correct arc length and speed.
• Select efficient welding process for moving materials or products.
• Examine welds for defects and perform repairs as needed.
• Clean and grind excess weld, slag and splatter for smooth finish.
• Safely operate manlifts and cranes for material handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to meet production goals.
