Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or Engineering required or pursuing (strong candidates accepted).
• Minimum GPA 2.7.
• Strong attention to detail and organized work style.
• Interest in metallurgy, materials characterization, and manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and document SOPs for automotive hemming and wrap bend testing.
• Conduct hemming and wrap bend tests to evaluate formability and material performance.
• Prepare and characterize aluminum samples to evaluate microstructure.
• Analyze test results and microstructural features to build structure-property relationships.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and support material and process improvements.
• Collaborate with metallurgists, engineers, lab personnel, and production teams on testing projects.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing project findings.
