Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Alteryx Systems & Platform Administrator to manage and optimize Alteryx Server environments across on-premises and Azure. You will administer the gallery, controller, workers, and MongoDB storage while ensuring secure access and scalable workloads.

The role requires strong Windows Server, Azure IaaS, database connectivity, and scripting (PowerShell, Python) skills to automate maintenance and support enterprise hosting. Buffalo, NY-based with high responsibility.

Qualifications

• Strong Windows Server administration (2019/2022) experience.
• Azure IaaS and hybrid on-premises environments experience.
• Experience hosting enterprise apps and databases (MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Ability to configure authentication via Azure AD/Entra ID, SAML/SSO.
• Scripting for automation: PowerShell, Bash, Python.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Windows Server VMs on-premises and in Azure.
• Administer Alteryx Server components: Controller, Worker Nodes, Gallery, MongoDB.
• Implement auto-scaling and cost optimization in Azure.
• Configure worker queues and scheduling for balanced workloads.
• Administer Alteryx Gallery licensing and access policies.
• Maintain DB connectivity across hybrid environments (ODBC/OLEDB).
• Manage RBAC, SSO, and security policies.
• Plan upgrades, patches, and DR/backups for the platform.
