Job summary

Michels Preconstruction Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Manager to lead large-diameter water conveyance projects.

You will oversee all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery from pursuit through design and contract management, coordinating with Michels teams and external partners. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 10+ years of contractor experience, and proven leadership in design-build/EPC delivery with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering plus 10+ years in contracting or construction management.
• Experience with water conveyance and municipal engagement and regulation is required.
• Experience in alternative delivery projects (design-build, EPC) and in key project leadership roles.
• Travel requirements may vary but could exceed 50% depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and management for all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects.
• Lead and manage client and internal Michels teams; ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders; supervise pursuits, proposals, and contract/design management.

As an Alternative Delivery Manager, responsibilities include providing direction and management for all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects. This position is focused on Large Diameter Water Conveyance projects. This position requires involvement in all phases of an alternative/collaborative delivery project lifecycle from business development, teaming, pursuits & proposals, and active contract and design management. It is essential to be goal oriented, organized, and professional in order to exceed client expectations. Critical for success in this position is excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multitask while managing work both with internal Michels teams and external partner and client teams, as well as the ability to quickly make well informed decisions.

What it takes:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 10+ years of Contractor experience, construction management experience, or an equivalent combination
• Experience with water conveyance and municipality engagement and regulation is required
• Experience and understanding of alternative delivery projects, including, but not limited to, design build and EPC experience
• Experience in key project leadership roles
• Experience in technical writing
• Understanding of Scheduling, Estimating and Project Controls Software
• A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
• Travel requirements will vary but could exceed 50% depending on assignment and project requirements
