Alternative Delivery Manager, Heavy Civil Construction – Michels Preconstruction Services, Inc.

Location: Reston, VA

The Michels Preconstruction Services team plays a critical role in the development of large, complex energy, infrastructure, marine and transportation projects. Responsibilities

As an Alternative Delivery Manager – Heavy Civil Construction, you will provide direction and management for all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects. You will be involved in every phase of the project lifecycle from business development, teaming, pursuits & proposals, to active contract and design management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 10+ years of construction management experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Construction experience in Heavy Civil Construction, including underground utility, foundations, mass and finish grading.
• Experience and understanding of alternative delivery projects, including design‑build, EPC.
• Travel requirements may exceed 50% depending on assignment and project requirements.
• Experience in key project leadership roles.
• Considerable experience in client management on project pursuits and in project delivery.
• Understanding and experience with win strategies, pricing and project scheduling.
• Experience in technical writing.
• Experience with scheduling, estimating and project controls software.
• A valid driver’s license for the types of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.
