To be considered, candidates must have NREMT - P, MD Paramedic License and a minimum of one year experience.

Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.Based on assessment of physical emotional bio-physical and spiritual needs provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes. Incorporates the principles of patient-centered care.Communicates patient's clinical information clearly and accurately in verbal and written format. Clearly and accurately documents pertinent information in the patient's medical record. Provides basic patient comfort measures during procedures. When necessary provides environmental support to expedite timely patient admission or transfer. Identifies and acts upon opportunities to improve the environment of care.Provides for the emotional support of patients and families during the crisis of illness. Demonstrates patient/family advocacy.Delivers expert paramedic care in ambulances to multiple patient types to include adult subspecialties and pediatrics.Collaborates with on line medical control physicians to manage the patient care of complex patients in transport.Participates in the orientation program for new staff.As part of the program's safety management system provides feedback and participates in program safety initiatives.Participates in MedSTAR Transport safety program.Administers and maintains pharmacologic agents and intravenous fluids during inter hospital transports.Ensures safe operations during ambulance related activities in coordination with the Emergency Vehicle Operator.Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts.Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
Education
Successful completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic course required
Completion of an approved emergency vehicle driving course prior to release from orientation required
This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.43 - USD $48.35 /Hr.
