Job summary

Temple Health seeks an ALS Paramedic to plan, direct, and evaluate patient care during interfacility transport on a shift, under limited supervision.

The role includes orienting and training transport personnel, coordinating with receiving departments, and contributing to policy and skills development within the transport team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year of critical care interfacility transport preferred.
• 3 years in 911 or EMT-Paramedic environment preferred.

Under limited supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total patient care and functions in the transport environment on a particular shift, in accordance with established corporate philosophy. Orients, trains, and manages transport personnel. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains positive relations with referring and receiving departments and nursing units; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel. Must be eligible for medical command in the Commonwealth of PA.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Associate's Degree Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience

• 1 year experience performing critical care interfacility transport Preferred
• 3 years experience (minimum 4000 hours) in 911 or equivalent environment as an EMTParamedic Preferred

Licenses

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required
• Basic Life Support Required
• Paramedic Certification Required
• Drivers License Required
• EMS Vehicle Operator Required
• Critical Care Paramedic Cert Preferred
• Natl Reg. Emergency Med Techs Preferred
