Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System in Philadelphia seeks an experienced transport supervisor to plan, direct, and evaluate total patient care on a shift basis within the transport environment.

The role mentors and trains transport personnel, coordinates with referring and receiving departments, and ensures policy, record-keeping, and procedural updates are implemented across operations.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience performing critical care interfacility transport preferred.
• 3 years experience (minimum 4000 hours) in 911 or equivalent environment as an EMTParamedic preferred.
• Licensure in EMS-related fields preferred could include paramedic/EMT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate total patient care on a shift within the transport environment.
• Orient, train, and manage transport personnel.
• Coordinate with referring and receiving departments for continuity of care.
• Maintain positive relations with nursing units and other shifts.
• Participate in education, records maintenance, and policy/procedure updates.

Job description

Under limited supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total patient care and functions in the transport environment on a particular shift, in accordance with established corporate philosophy. Orients, trains, and manages transport personnel. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains positive relations with referring and receiving departments and nursing units; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel. Must be eligible for medical command in the Commonwealth of PA.

Experience
