Job summary

Kennebunk High School is seeking an Assistant Alpine Ski Coach to guide student athletes, supervise practices, and promote sportsmanship and integrity within the program.

The role requires coaching experience, knowledge of alpine ski techniques, and the ability to manage all aspects of a school sport program. Preference given to those with Maine Coaches credentials and Kennebunk School Department involvement.

Qualifications

• Love what you do and bring your experience as a player or coach to RSU 21.
• Must have knowledge of strategies, methods and techniques for alpine ski.
• Ability to manage all aspects of a sport program.
• Preferred: employment in the Kennebunk School Department.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the student athletes in his/her program.
• Prepare and plan so students are ready for competition.
• Manage off-season programs to help players improve.
• Serve as a role model for students.
• Assist Head Coach with rules, equipment and techniques of the sport.
• Organize and direct practice activities/exercises as directed by Head Coach.
• Assess players' skills and monitor performance during competition and practice.
• Assist with determining game strategy and supervising athletes in practices and competitions.
• Distribute equipment, supplies, and uniforms as directed.
• Submit a list of award winners at season end.
• Participate in events like parent nights and award nights.
