Job summary

Alltech in Springfield, Kentucky is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform ongoing maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, ensuring safety standards are met and systems operate reliably. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, active communication, and teamwork.

Candidates should have strong experience in industrial maintenance and a solid safety background. The position is based in Springfield Operations, requires standing and climbing, and offers a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent field.
• Experience with OSHA requirements for lockout/tagout, confined space and related safety procedures.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work at height.
• Preferred: Experience in automation, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Preferred: Experience in welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing maintenance and repairs on equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
• Confirm safety standards are met throughout the facility.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Manage heating and plumbing systems to ensure climate control and functionality.
• Investigate and resolve issues impacting production or safety.
• Maintain high attention to detail to prevent hazards or warnings from being missed.
• Act as an active communicator with team members to prioritize issues.
• Participate in on-call maintenance rotation and coordinate with colleagues to keep equipment and facilities in good working order.
