TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking an Alloyd Tech I to safely operate vacuum and pressure thermoforming machines for blister packaging. You will handle setup, changeovers, quality checks, and maintain production flow in an organized environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum and pressure thermoforming machines to produce blister packaging.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Verify job orders, materials, and tooling meet customer specifications.
• Retrieve, inspect, and prepare tooling components for production.
• Perform machine changeovers and adjust settings.
• Fine-tune press settings to ensure high-quality output.
• Record production data including setup, teardown, and quality checks.
• Work with packers to maintain product quality.
• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the thermoforming area.
• Support reclaim quality checks and follow reclaim procedures.

Position: Alloyd Tech I
Location: DeKalb, IL
Shift: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23.64/hour

Summary Description

The Alloyd Technician I is responsible for safely operating vacuum and pressure thermoforming machines to produce high-quality blister packaging. This role focuses on machine setup, tooling changeovers, quality control, and maintaining efficient production flow.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized work environment
• Verify job orders, materials, and tooling meet customer specifications
• Retrieve, inspect, and prepare tooling components for production
• Perform machine changeovers and make necessary adjustments
• Fine-tune press settings to ensure high-quality output
• Record production data including setup, teardown, and quality checks
• Work closely with packers to maintain product quality standards
• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the thermoforming area
• Support reclaim quality checks and follow reclaim procedures

We’d Love to Hear From You If

• You have experience operating machinery, including setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting
• You have a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy hands-on work
• You are detail-oriented and quality-focused
• You work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
• You have experience in thermoforming, injection molding, or manufacturing (preferred)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate thermoforming equipment safely
• Lift and move tools weighing 45–65 lbs
• Push/pull up to 60 lbs at chest or waist height
• Stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
• Comfortable working in heat, humidity, and production environments
• Ability to work around typical manufacturing hazards
