Job summary

Clarke Power Services, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Allison Transmission Diesel Technician to maintain and repair customer vehicles and equipment.

You will perform engine, brake, electrical, and A/C repairs, troubleshoot issues, complete service paperwork, and support fellow technicians. A valid driver's license, 2+ years of experience with Allison transmissions, and the ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• 3+ years experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with Allison Transmissions required.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Allison Transmission Diesel Technician?

We are looking for a diesel technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. What are the Duties?

Diesel technician repairs all makes and maintains customer vehicles and other equipment by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs.
• Troubleshooting and inspections
• Inspect engine & transmission , diagnose cause of non-conformance
• Paperwork and R/O documentation
• Basic computer skills & good verbal communication
• Assist other technicians when needed
• Must be able to work independently

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Certificate from college or technical school Preferred
• Prefer 3+ years experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with Allison Transmissions required.

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
• The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.?

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• CDL is a plus
• Certifications preferred
• Experience with Allison Transmissions required.
