Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a permanent assignment in Mauston, Wisconsin. The role offers a steady schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five days a week, with a salary range of $69,000 to $98,000 per year.

Responsibilities include direct patient care for speech, language, and swallowing disorders; comprehensive documentation; collaboration with healthcare teams; and ongoing education of staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care: assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Complete patient documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports
• Contact insurance companies regarding benefits
• Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions
• Educate staff (nurses, physicians, dietitians, food service) on results and recommendations
• Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff
• Collaborate with healthcare providers for patient-centered treatment
• Maintain treatment rooms and equipment between sessions
• Provide reminder calls to patients
• Assist patients and families in navigating the hospital
• Perform other duties as requested
• Maintain a valid, current driver’s license
• Maintain BLS certification
• Demonstrate intermediate computer proficiency
• Apply strong assessment, planning, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities for a SLP:

• Perform direct patient care: assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Complete patient documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports
• Contact insurance companies regarding benefits
• Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions
• Provide education to staff, including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers, regarding results and recommendations following evaluations and providing guidance based on the most up-to-date research
• Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in order to provide patient-centered treatment
• Clean treatment rooms following sessions
• Provide reminder calls to patients
• Aid patients and families in navigating the hospital
• Perform other duties as requested
• Maintain a valid, current driver's license
• Maintain BLS certification
• Demonstrate intermediate proficiency with computers
• Apply strong assessment, planning, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Utilize exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all responsibilities
