Job Title

Position at AMBA

AMBA is a full-service insurance agency dedicated to providing essential coverage for retired and active educators, police, firefighters, and municipal workers. Our agents help these selfless individuals secure a well-deserved retirement and protect their financial well-being. Over 400 associations across all 50 states, including the Texas Retired Teachers Association and California Retired Teachers Association, exclusively endorse AMBA to benefit their members.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • A fully remote position where you answer inbound calls and work abandoned web leads to sell insurance products to new clients.
  • Pre-qualifies applicants to determine eligibility and asks underwriting questions to determine if the specified prospective client meets carrier requirements.
  • Markets insurance products via the telephone to maximize sales of insurance plans by preparing and presenting solutions, negotiating and overcoming objections, and assisting in purchasing appropriate products.
  • Ensures carrier, state, and company guidelines are adhered to.
  • Cross-sells insurance products, identifies sales leads, and makes outbound calls to finalize a sale.
  • Enters all information related to the call for reporting purposes.
  • Works with internal business partners to achieve business unit results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma is required, and a college degree preferred.
  • Relevant sales experience is required.
  • Ability to interpret insurance products to clients. Ability to motivate and influence people towards suggested products / solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers on the phone.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy.
  • Possess self-discipline, self-motivation, and ability to meet assigned objectives.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance.
  • Core competencies include : Communicating with Impact, Negotiations, Building and Maintaining Relationships
  • An appropriate license must be obtained for the position.
  • The license required would include a Property and Casualty License.
Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts

Compensation

Compensation is via hourly pay and monthly bonuses. Upon meeting minimum requirements, the target total compensation is $55,000 in the first year for average producing reps.
