Job summary

Frontier Airlines in Denver seeks a Manager of Alliances to build revenue opportunities through new airline alliances, code-share and frequent flyer partnerships. You will partner with Network Planning, Ancillary Sales and Distribution to analyze opportunities and drive project management for partnerships.

You will work with internal stakeholders on revenue modeling, contract development and ongoing performance tracking, while collaborating with Distribution on system integration and NDC

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration or similar; Masters preferred.
  • 5–8 years in airline sales, operations, distribution, account management or partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Competency with analytical tools such as Zenz, DEIO and SkySpeed.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to engage multiple teams.
  • Strong knowledge of airline pricing and revenue management.
  • Creative problem solving and revenue opportunity analysis.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts with multiple vendors and partners.
  • Good analytical and forecasting skills; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with and prioritize lucrative relationships with other airlines, including frequent flyer and code-share opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on revenue modeling, new contracts, and monthly/quarterly sales and operations tracking.
  • Engage in ongoing business development and partner prospecting activities.
  • Work with the Distribution team to analyze system integration opportunities and support NDC initiatives.
  • Support Field Sales and Marketing activities and relay market information to senior leadership.

What Will You Be Doing?

The Manager of Alliances will play a crucial role in building new revenue opportunities made possible with the development of new airline alliances, code-share and/or frequent flyer partnerships. The Alliances Manager will work closely with target partners and serve as a key liaison with Frontier’s Network Planning, Ancillary Sales and Distribution organizations to analyze and prioritize revenue opportunities as well as support the project management processes required to implement these new marketing and operational partnerships.

Essential Functions
  • Meet with, analyze, explore and prioritize a broad array of potentially lucrative relationships with other airlines to include options from frequent flyer mile earning/redemption options to more integrated operational partnerships such as code-shares and joint ventures.
  • The Alliance manager will work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders on an array of assignments to include, but not limited to, revenue modeling, new contract development, monthly/quarterly sales and operations tracking and constant new business development prospecting.
Other Functions
  • Work closely with the Distribution team as required to analyze system integration opportunities as well as support ongoing NDC initiatives.
  • Support Field Sales and Marketing activities as assigned
  • Gather competitive and market information and relay key findings to senior leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration or similar. Masters Degree Preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in airline sales, airline operations, distribution, account management/partnerships or similar areas
  • Strong knowledge of Excel for data manipulation and analysis
  • Competency with other analytical tools such as Zenz, DEIO and SkySpeed
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage with multiple team members and/or contractors
  • Strong knowledge of airline pricing and revenue management
  • Creative Problem Solving and revenue opportunity analysis
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts with multiple vendors and partners
  • Good analytical and forecasting skills
  • Willing and able to travel as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with airline networks, segmentation and distribution alternatives including NDC
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and quickly changing course based on business needs
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with other departments, current customers as well as other prospective partners.

  • Must be self‑motivated, self‑starter, have a sense of urgency and extremely well‑organized
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a collaborative team environment

  • Broad understanding of consumer databases and customer analytics
  • Capable of producing revenue forecasts and financial progress reports
