Job summary

Alliance Laundry Systems LLC in Ripon, WI is seeking a Firmware Co-op for Summer/Fall 2027 (May–December). You will work on real embedded firmware projects, contribute fresh ideas, and tackle meaningful engineering challenges.

Join a collaborative team to design, implement, and test firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C/C++ and Python scripting, with mentorship from senior engineers and opportunities for future full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with interfaces such as GPIO, I2C, SPI and UART.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded firmware features under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Contribute to board bring-up, driver development, and debugging for microcontroller-based systems.
• Write clean, maintainable code in C/C++ (and scripting in Python as needed).
• Use lab tools (debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and test engineering to integrate hardware and firmware.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Explore creative approaches to solve problems and propose new ideas and optimizations.
