Stanford Health Care seeks an experienced Allergy Clinic RN to provide direct patient care in our allergy/immunology clinic in New York under physician supervision. You will perform skin testing, administer immunotherapy, educate patients, and coordinate care across the team.

The ideal candidate holds RN licensure in New York with BLS certification and has experience in allergy/immunology or ambulatory care, plus strong assessment and patient education skills.

Formación

• RN licensed in the state; BLS certification required.
• Prior allergy/immunology, or ambulatory care experience preferred; training in allergen immunotherapy a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; comfort working with diverse patient populations.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct initial patient assessments, triage, and allergy history taking; document findings in the electronic health record.
• Prepare and perform skin prick and intradermal allergy testing, monitor patients for reactions, and document results.
• Administer allergen immunotherapy injections (SCIT) per protocols; ensure accurate dosing, post-injection observation, and management of adverse reactions.
• Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments; monitor for adverse effects and intervene as needed.
• Educate patients and families on test results, treatment plans, allergy management, epinephrine auto-injector use, and avoidance strategies.
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatment planning; coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
• Assess vital signs; assist with spirometry/peak flow testing as appropriate; contribute to quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain clinic readiness: prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, manage inventory, and uphold infection control standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation, coding, and communication with the care team.
