Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a Medical Assistant to support allergy testing and patient care in a high-volume clinic. You will assist RN/physicians, manage patient flow, and handle scheduling, referrals and documentation.

The role requires MA certification, BLS, strong computer/communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm; on-site in Tucson.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
  • Active Medical Assistant certification required (RMA/CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NCCT) with current membership proof.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with medical software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire; Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for exams and treatments, record vital signs and chief complaints.
  • Assist clinicians with exams and minor in-office procedures; document vitals and disposables.
  • Coordinate patient care including referrals, pre-certifications, authorizations, and scheduling.
  • Process medical records, test results, and billing-related information accurately.
  • Maintain infection control, room cleanliness, and sterilization protocols.
  • Order supplies and manage medication recalls and inventory.
  • Communicate with patients and staff to ensure coordinated care.
  • Complete onboarding/orientation activities as directed.
