Responsibilities

• Assist the All-City Middle School Orchestra Director with recruitment of 6–8 graders from K‑8 buildings.
• Collect and register data to communicate with parents/guardians.
• Communicate with parents about attendance, behaviors and events.
• Hold regular rehearsals on Thursdays, 3:30–5:00 pm at Somerville High School.
• Select appropriate repertoire for grade and ability levels.
• Conduct rehearsals with musicality and technique.
• Prepare ensemble for at least two concerts (winter and spring).
• Prepare for additional performances as agreed with supervisor.
• Supervise or assist fundraising for the ensemble.
