Job summary

Mercy Health’s Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to provide skilled therapeutic interventions and document patient progress. The role involves clinical care across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include patient treatment, documentation, maintaining productivity, and mentoring students.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH).

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist and monitor responses.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment and patient progress.
• Maintain productivity levels without compromising quality.
• Precept students during clinical experiences and internships.
• Follow departmental policies on safety, infection control, and timekeeping.
• Observe and report patient responses and progress to the Physical Therapist.
