Job summary

Driven by Dobbs is seeking an Alignment Technician in Longview, TX to inspect, diagnose, and fix alignment and suspension issues for proper vehicle handling and safety. You will align wheels, axles, frames, and steering components using precision equipment and perform related repairs.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of alignment experience or relevant training and is proficient with tire mounting, balancing, inspection, and basic automotive service tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Alignment Technician; or successful completion of an applicable post-secondary vocational or technical program in automotive repair or alignment.
  • Proficient with automotive repair tools and equipment, including wheel alignment racks, tire changers, wheel balancers, hydraulic jacks, and basic welding and testing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns wheels, axles, frames, torsion bars, and steering mechanisms of automotive vehicles using alignment equipment and manufacturer specifications.
  • Drives vehicles onto alignment racks and conducts tests to identify issues such as faulty alignments, bent axles, worn ball joints, and damaged steering components.
  • Performs necessary repair and adjustment work based on diagnostic findings.
  • Mounts and dismounts tires; balances wheels using a balancing machine and installs counterweights to ensure smooth operation.
  • Conducts miscellaneous diagnostic and service work, including state inspections, installation of shock absorbers, lubrication services, and basic tune-ups.
  • Straightens vehicle frames using hydraulic jacks, chassis aligners, and acetylene torches as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and adheres to all company and safety standards.

We areseeking an AlignmentTechnician.The Alignment Technicianis responsible forinspecting, diagnosing, and correcting alignment and suspension issues to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety. This includes aligning wheels, axles, frames, and steering components using precision alignment equipment and performing related repairs as needed. The role also involves mounting and balancing tires, conducting vehicle inspections, and completing general service work. The technicianutilizesspecialized tools and equipment to restore proper alignment,maintainvehicle performance, and deliver quality service to every customer.The ideal candidate will bedetaileddriven, accountable,customercentricand a team player with a strong work ethic to contribute to thedepartmentgoals and achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partners closely with Store Manager to learn how to interview, select and train service technicians,utilizingdeveloping technicalexpertiseto understand how knowledge, skills and experiences align with business needs and role definitions.
