Job summary

Analogic is seeking an Algorithm Engineer to develop detection, classification, and image analysis algorithms for advanced security screening solutions. You will work on AI/ML models, data analysis tooling, and contribute to production-ready deployments within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include degrees in engineering/CS/DS and experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) and CV techniques. U.S. citizenship and security vetting eligibility are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Engineering, Physics, CS, DS, or related field.
  • Academic or project experience in AI, ML, CV, image processing, or software development.
  • Experience with algorithm development and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop algorithms for detection, classification, image analysis, and AI/ML applications.
  • Design tools and methods for data analysis, testing, validation, and model improvement.
  • Research and apply emerging technologies in AI, ML, and deep learning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to move concepts from research to production.

We're seeking an Algorithm Engineer to help solve complex detection and classification challenges that support global aviation and homeland security initiatives. What You'll Do
  • Develop algorithms for detection, classification, image analysis, and AI/ML applications.
  • Design tools and methods for data analysis, testing, validation, and model improvement.
  • Research and apply emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and deep learning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to move concepts from research to production.
  • Document technical work and communicate results to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Contribute to innovative solutions that enhance security screening capabilities.
What We're Looking For
Education
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Experience
Early Career Engineer (0-2 Years)
  • Academic, internship, research, or project experience in AI, machine learning, computer vision, image processing, or software development.
  • Familiarity with algorithm development and data analysis.
Emerging Engineer (2-4 Years)
  • Hands-on experience applying algorithms, machine learning models, or data analysis techniques.
  • Experience developing technical solutions in academic or professional environments.
Experienced Engineer (5-8+ Years)
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing algorithms or AI/ML solutions.
  • Strong technical expertise in machine learning, computer vision, image processing, or related disciplines.
  • Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership is a plus.
Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
  • Computer Vision & Image Processing
  • Object Detection & Classification
  • Deep Learning
  • Python, MATLAB, C++
  • TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
  • Windows and Linux development environments
  • Explainable AI

Experience in aviation security, cargo screening, military systems, or threat detection applications is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain applicable U.S. Government security vetting.
