Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an Algebra Adjunct Instructor for Thursdays, 11:30am-2:30pm, to support its Nursing Program. The instructor will prepare progress and grade reports, track attendance, and assess student competency within the RN/PN level.

Faculty collaboration and ongoing professional development are expected. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with teaching hours; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited school.
• Master degree is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain professional qualifications through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses.
• Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.
