Job summary

The Alaska Center Education Fund: Trailside Discovery Camp is seeking a Program Manager to lead the daily camp programming at their site, ensuring engaging, safe, and meaningful experiences for campers aged 5-14.

The role reports to the Site Manager and works with the Year Round Camp Leadership team to develop curriculum, support staff, manage logistics, and build new environmental education activities that advance Trailside's mission of connecting youth with Alaska's outdoors.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or youth in camp, educational, recreation, childcare, or similar settings.
• Experience facilitating educational programs, outdoor recreation, environmental education, or related activities.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain certification before the start of camp.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience using Google Workspace, including Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
• Available for the duration of the summer season.
• Commitment to Trailside Discovery Camp's mission, values, and culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program development and curriculum management for the site.
• Lead staff support, training, and mentorship of instructors.
• Coordinate materials, supplies, and logistics for daily operations.
• Ensure camper safety and compliance with ACA standards.
• Communicate with camp leadership and families as needed.
