Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Hospital Medicine Physician for our Soldotna, Alaska team, offering flexible block scheduling and a role designed for professional growth within a supportive community.

You will join a close-knit team of eight physicians, collaborate closely with day hospitalists and a nocturnist, and participate in patient-centered, high-quality care with strong local leadership and hospital administration support.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in Alaska.
• We are proud to offer J1 visa sponsorship through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Conrad 30.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive adult medicine including hospitalist duties at Central Peninsula Hospital and affiliated centers.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in surgical consultations and ICU coverage as needed.
• Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and continuous learning within the Alaska Hospitalist Group and partner hospitals.
