Job summary

Northern Star Resources Ltd. invites an Exploration Superintendent to lead a safety‑driven, high‑level exploration program in Alaska, increasing mineral resources and de‑risking asset life plans.

You will guide the Discovery team, coordinate with engineering and metallurgy, manage budgets and schedules, and deliver periodic reports while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental protocols in a remote camp setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, preferably with Honours.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Minimum 10 years geological experience in the mining industry, including greenfields and near-mine exploration; majority in gold and at least 6 years in supervisory capacity.
• Proficient with geological software and data interpretation; strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Discovery team with clearly defined roles and development plans.
• Coach geologists in best practice geological, safety and environmental protocols.
• Develop budgets and manage costs across multiple projects in alignment with LOA plans.
• Develop drill schedules and milestone calendars; communicate variances and risks.
• Collaborate with mining engineering, geotechnical engineering and metallurgy to derisk and progress LOA projects.
• Manage contractors and suppliers engaged in exploration activities.
• Prepare periodic reports in PowerPoint and Word per requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve discovery rate and resource development; address data gaps.
• Ensure tenements are maintained and in good standing through budgeting.
• Coordinate images for ASX releases and assist with images for company releases.
