We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer – Senior to support the FAA Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) program. In this role, you will plan, manage, deconflict, streamline, and execute the procurement of equipment, services, and construction to support Alaska Flight Service modernization. Using a holistic systems engineering approach, you will support the design, develop, evaluate, and modify end‑to‑end systems and systems‑oriented products throughout their entire life cycle.
This position plays a critical role in transitioning radio communications from legacy architectures to modern IP‑based environments in coordination with Telecommunications Integrated Services (TIS), while simultaneously ensuring all system requirements are rigorously defined, verified, and validated against customer and government standards.
This position is 100% on‑site, located in Anchorage, Alaska.
The ability to travel to remote locations.
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
