HDR, Inc. is seeking a Federal Business Group Manager based in Alaska to lead and grow the federal work portfolio with US Government clients. The role centers on building relationships, managing multi-discipline teams, and delivering complex government projects from Anchorage.

The successful candidate will balance billable work with overhead activities, drive proposals and strategy, and ensure compliance and quality across HDR's Federal practice in Alaska.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Oversee federal programs, project delivery, client management, QA/QC, and staff development.
• Coordinate staff assignments and workload with other HDR groups; ensure contract compliance and fee proposals.
• Prepare and review fee proposals, monitor financial performance, and implement QA/QC programs.

Primary Responsibilities

HDR is currently seeking a Federal Business Group Manager to lead and grow our federal work portfolio with US Government clients across multiple agencies located in Alaska.

The individual will be based in Alaska, with an Anchorage duty station, and will report directly to the Alaska Area Manager with additional reporting responsibilities to the West Region Federal Business Group Director. Primary responsibilities of this position will be to lead and manage the Federal Business Group in our Alaska cost center and perform business development activities while collaborating with HDR's Federal Client Development Leaders to drive the overall growth and profitability of HDR's Federal practice in Alaska.

The position requires an experienced, well-rounded individual who is comfortable serving in a variety of roles, including Project and Program Manager, Contract Manager, Client Manager and Principal-in-Charge. It is expected that this individual will split their time between billable work (40-50% of their time) and associated overhead activities, including financial and personnel management and marketing/new business development (5--60% of their time) to deliver our annual plans.

This position is an integral part of the Alaska Area Leadership Team and local office leadership. Specific responsibilities include oversight of federal programs and project delivery, client management, quality control, marketing support, and staff development. The position includes management of multi-discipline design activities including schematic design development and development of construction documents to support large, medium, and small-scale federal facility and GIS projects. Projects include horizontal and vertical construction for military and international and interagency support, facilities, sustainment, restoration and modernization (FSRM), as well as other federal projects such as asset management and military planning. Most of these projects are performed under A-E IDC contracts with varying degrees of technical complexity and project team size.

The successful candidate should have some established federal client and teaming partner relationships in Alaska, show a track record of developing and enhancing relationships, and have experience in the complete life cycle of project delivery including fee proposal development, negotiations, contractual review, design, and construction management oversight.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating staff assignment and workload projections with other HDR Business groups; working with the Federal Services Group to achieve contract compliance with Federal Regulations; and working with the local Area Manager to prepare and review fee proposals, perform project reviews, monitor financial performance, and implement QA/QC programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional registration as an Engineer
• Ability to market services and develop strong client relationships with US Government Agencies, such as USACE, NAVFAC NW, US Coast Guard, US Bureau of Reclamation, US Fish and Wildlife and the National Park Service.
• This position is subject to a governmental background check.
