American StaffCorp seeks an Alarm Installation Tech Trainee to join our field team. This entry-level role involves shadowing a licensed technician and installing security systems in homes and businesses, with emphasis on travel when required.

You will learn to test components, program keypads, and document work orders while upholding company standards and safety procedures. Must be willing to travel and have a high school diploma or GED.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in similar duties in security, cable/tech services, or home improvement helpful.

• Installs Company authorized equipment in customer homes, new construction structures, and businesses under supervision.
• Test backup batteries, keypad programming and features to ensure proper functioning.
• Keep informed of new products and developments.
• Coordinate with Company personnel by telephone to test the completed system and initiate the account in the customer database.
• Accurately complete paperwork including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work site and inventory control of assigned equipment.

Alarm Installation Tech Trainee

Hours: Based on customer install requirements

Pay Range: $16 (Plus Per Diam when traveling)

The Installer Technician Trainee is responsible for shadowing a licensed technician while performing a variety of task including but not limited to installing systems in designated locations. Systems will include but not be limited to burglar and fire alarms, home networking and internet/app training for Smartphone interfaces, network based CCTV and card access control systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Installs Company authorized equipment in customer homes, new construction structures, and businesses in accordance with established standards and procedures under supervision of a Licensed Technician.
• Test backup batteries, keypad programming and all features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to assist in the diagnosis of malfunctions.
• Keep informed of new products and developments.
• Coordinates with Company personnel by telephone to adequately test the completed system and initiate the account in the customer database.
• Accurately completes all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service orders, time logs, customer contact list, and emergency information schedules.
• Will maintain a neat and orderly work site at specified customer locations, at all times.
• Maintains inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Participates in formal inventory on an as needed basis.
• Maintains control of all assigned Company property and ensures that equipment is maintained in safe operating condition at all times.
• Exhibits appearance and conduct in accordance with established Company standards to present a professional image to the customer and the general public.
• Maintains the highest standards of decency, honesty and integrity as a guest in a customer's home or business.
• After completion of initial training period, technicians maintain established minimum performance standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education

High school diploma or GED certification, preferred.

Professional Experience

Experience in performing similar duties, preferably in the security, cable TV, telephone service or home improvement industries.

MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL

will be home for weekends at minimum.
