Job Summary
The responsibility of the Assisted Living Nurse is to provide and assist with the coordination of the residents of Snyder Village Assisted Living.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Pass medication and provide nursing care for memory care residents.
- Provide ADL and other personal assistance to memory care residents.
- Provide nursing care to traditional assisted living residents per care plan or in emergency situations.
- Document according to community policy.
- Consult with caregivers or resident’s responsible party regarding nursing questions or concerns.
- May delegate tasks to memory care caregivers as appropriate.
- Works closely with Memory Care Coordinator to ensure optimal resident care is provided.
- Must subscribe to and uphold Snyder Village Mission and Values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Is involved with personnel, residents, families and other visitors under all conditions and circumstances.
- Is subject to anxious and emotionally upset residents and families.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- RN or LPN required.
- CPR Certification.
- Experience with dementia residents preferred.

- Paid Holidays

- Non‑exempt staff working on a holiday receive time and one‑half of hourly straight pay.
- Paid Time Off (PTO)
- Full‑time and part‑time workers (>20 hrs/week) accrue up to 2 weeks (80 hours) of PTO upon hire.
- Paid Personal Days (PPD)
- All staff accrue up to 40 hours of PPD regardless of classification.
- Sick Pay
- After 1 year of employment, full‑time staff receive 80 hours of sick time for serious illnesses requiring more than 5 days off.
- Tuition Reimbursement
- Available for education expenses such as course fees, technical training, certification programs. Up to six course hours per semester for certificate completion.
- Scholarships
- Up to 2 nursing scholarships per year for RN or LPN degree students.
- Up to 4 CNA scholarships per year for certified nursing assistant degree students.
